Our Dublin Shop

Do you have a real shop as well as on online shop? Is it open to the public?

Yes! Our shop in Walkinstown, Dublin has been open for almost 30 years, and we'd love you to pop in. Find details of our location here.

What are your opening times?

We are open Monday - Saturday 9.00am - 5:30pm. We're open throughout the day, and we don't close for lunch or anything like that.

Does Springwools also supply yarn wholesale?

Yes, we supply yarn wholesale as well as retail. In order to open a wholesale account with Springwools you must be a retail business buying wholesale quantities. Shopping Online

I can't find what I'm looking for on your website. Are all of your products featured in your online shop?

Our website only features a small selection of the products available to buy from our shop. If you can't find what you're looking for, please phone (01) 4509134 or email us And if it turns out we don't have what you're looking for in the shop, we're happy to order yarn, patterns and books especially for you whenever we can. Please note that prices and special offers can vary in-store and online.

Are all of the products shown on your website in stock?

The products shown on our website reflect the stock available to buy here in our shop in Dublin. Very occasionally, an item will go out of stock in our shop without our website being updated to reflect the stock status before an online order is received for the same product. You will be promptly advised on such occasions. Out of stock items rarely cause orders to be delayed for longer than a few days, as we receive deliveries of stock very regularly.

Is what I see on the website an accurate representation of what I will receive?

Every effort is made to ensure the items you see on the website are a true match to the items you receive. Please note, shades may vary depending on your computer monitor.



Do I need to register to place an order?

You don't need to be a registered customer to place an order. However we do recommend you register as a customer for easy access to your account and order history. If you check out as a guest, none of your details will be saved.

How do I know my order has gone through?

You'll receive a confirmation email upon successfully placing your order. Please use this to check that your order details and delivery address are correct. If you don't receive a confirmation email, please contact us on 01 4509134 (International 00 353 1 4509 134) or email, and we'll confirm whether your order went through.

I forgot to add items to my order, can you add them?

We can't adjust orders to include more items. As long as your online order hasn't already dispatched, we can merge it with another order. The best thing to do is to telephone us with your credit or debit card details if you wish to have additional items included with your online dispatch without incurring another delivery charge. Please note that online orders can be dispatched within minutes of having been received.

Can I cancel my order?

If your order hasn't been processed, we may be able to cancel it before it's dispatched. Please call us on 01 4509134 (International 00 353 1 4509 134) for more information. If your order has already been dispatched, please follow the usual returns procedure.



When will my order be dispatched? When will I receive my goods?

We try our best to process and dispatch orders the day they're placed. In the unlikely event of a delay, you'll be promptly advised. Orders dispatched to addresses in Ireland are usually received within a day or two. Orders dispatched to addresses in the UK and Europe are usually received within 10 days. Orders dispatched to addresses in the USA and Canada are usually received within 14 days. Orders dispatched to other parts of the world can take up to 30 days.

Do you deliver worldwide? How much is delivery?

Yes, Springwools delivers worldwide. Delivery is the same price no matter where you are in the world, or the size of your order - just €4.99

How is my parcel being delivered?

Your order's delivery method will depend on the size of your order, the delivery destination and the time of day your order is dispatched. Orders within Ireland dispatch by An Post or Fastway Couriers. Small international orders dispatch by regular post, and larger international orders by Priority Parcel Post. Tracking information is provided to you for Irish orders over 250g, European orders over 2kg, and all other international orders over 1kg.



What types of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, such as Visa, Mastercard and Laser for orders placed online. By placing an order, you consent to payment being charged to your debit/credit card account. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account before the dispatch of the goods to you. We accept direct bank transfer payments, cheque payments and postal orders for orders placed by telephone. Payment in full must be received before your telephone order is considered placed and can be dispatched.

How do I know ordering with you is safe?

Online credit and debit card payments are securely processed through Realex Payments, a leading European online payment gateway. Through Realex, Springwools provides buyers with the same superior payment security as multinational companies such as Virgin Atlantic, VHI Healthcare, Party Poker,, Aer Lingus, AA Insurance and more – all of whom use the Realex Payments system. As all credit and debit card details are processed to the highest security standards, Springwools has no access to your credit or debit card details when you place an online order – these are kept top secret. Your personal details can only be accessed by us so that we can process your orders. Your credit or debit card details are not stored at all.We promise to protect your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003.


Dye Lots

Will my order be picked from one dye lot?

Yes. We only ever fill an order from one dye lot.

I need to purchase a particular dye lot, how can I do this?

Phone us on 01 4509134 (International 00 353 1 450 9134) and we can check the dye lots we have available. We'll make a note of the dye lot you require in anticipation of your online order.
